Dr. Goldsberry is a 1996 honors graduate from Baylor University in Electrical Engineering. He went on to earn a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University (1997) before completing medical school at A&M in 2001. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine, he successfully completed residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Following this, he completed a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease & Refractive Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, where he learned the latest techniques in cataract surgery and laser vision correction.
Dr. Goldsberry moved to the Dallas area in 2006.
In addition to regular eye exams, Dr. Goldsberry maintains an active surgical practice in anterior segment surgery (cataracts, pterygium excision, cornea surgery) and laser vision correction. He offers a complete array of intraocular lenses, including Toric and Multifocal lenses (Crystalens, ReZoom, ReSTOR), as well as Phakic Lenses (Verisyse, ICL). He offers several laser vision correction procedures including All-Laser LASIK. He is on staff at Centennial Medical Center, Park Central Surgical Center, and Dallas Laser Center. Dr. Goldsberry is a fellowship-trained cornea & refractive surgeon.
Dr. Goldsberry is Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is active in the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons, the Cornea Society, the International Society of Refractive Surgeons, the Association of American Physicians & Surgeons, the Texas Medical Association, and the Collin County Medical Society. In addition, he is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society and maintains an active Professional Engineer license. He has written numerous scientific papers.
Outside the office, Dr. Goldsberry enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, is an avid traveler, plays guitar, and loves to cook (and eat).
